Yesterday, 14/07/2023, TBM900 OM-TZA made a non-stop flight from Bratislava to Gloucester (LZIB - EGBJ) - see the picture below. The flight lasted 3:42 h at a commonly achieved of around 270 knots (GS) Ground Speed. On a significant part of the route, the aircraft had to cope with a headwind of around 50 kts KIAS. For legal reasons, the flight was performed only at FL280 (means under RVSM). When the flight would been made at FL310, this unique performance would have been greatly enhanced. For individual and small group travel within Europe, the TBM has no competition in range, speed and payload while maintaining minimal operating costs.
